			<title><![CDATA[CAL MARITIME RECEIVES AND INSTALLS MASSIVE SHIP PROPELLER DISPLAY]]></title>

<p align=justify>Cal Maritime has received and installed a massive 18-ton, 18-foot wide brass ship’s propeller which for many years was a landmark of San Francisco’s downtown business district. The propeller, which is located adjacent to the Technology Center, will now become a permanent campus fixture and a distinctive symbol of our maritime roots.<br><br><br><br><br></p></td></tr></tbody></table>]]></description>

			<title><![CDATA[CAL MARITIME AGAIN RANKS HIGH IN 2010 COLLEGE SURVEYS]]></title>

The California Maritime Academy has once again ranked high in the annual US News & World Report and Forbes survey of the nation’s undergraduate colleges and universities. The Academy, a part of The California State University system, earned a fourth place ranking from US News among Regional Colleges in the West, with the U.S. Air Force Academy taking the top spot in the category. ]]></description>

<p align=justify>Edward Roberts, head coach of Cal Maritime’s highly successful varsity rugby team, is stepping down from the role after seven years in charge due to conflicting work commitments. Under Roberts’ leadership, the Cal Maritime team played 93 first team games and won 72% of those against Northern California Division Two opposition. <br></p></td></tr></tbody></table>]]></description>

			<title><![CDATA[GREG TURNER ('72D) FUNDS ENDOWMENT HONORING FORMER TSGB SKIPPER]]></title>

Greg Turner, ’72 D has made a gift to The California Maritime 
Academy Foundation in the amount $25,000 to honor Capt. William H. 
Aguilar, ’34 D. The endowment gift is designed to help pay for fuel for 
summer training voyages. Aguilar was an instructor of navigation at Cal 
Maritime, and Captain of the Golden Bear from 1971-76. Turner, now a marine pilot in the port of Palm Beach, FL, said he wanted to “give back” to Cal Maritime for all he learned here and for all the school and its staff contributed to his own career success.<br></td></tr></tbody></table><br>]]></description>

			<title><![CDATA[DAVID LYMAN SCHOLARSHIP SCORES BIG WITH ISLAND FUNDRAISER]]></title>

Hawaiian maritime community and the many friends of Capt. Dave Lyman, over $30,000 was added to the Capt. David Lyman Memorial Scholarship 
Endowment. Supporters and friends gathered at the Aloha Tower in Honolulu on June 30th for a 
fundraiser, held in conjunction with the Honolulu “changeover” port 
call of the <span style="font-style: italic;">Training Ship Golden 
Bear</span>. The endowment funds underwrite scholarships for students from

<p align="justify">California State Senator Noreen Evens presented Cal Maritime president Bill Eisenhardt at the CMA Sailing Team with a Legislative Proclamation honoring the team for capturing the Kennedy Cup. The victory last fall earned them the title of being the top collegiate sailors in the country, and with it, the right to represent the U.S. in the Student Yachting World Cup competition in La Rochelle, France October 2010. <br></p></td></tr></tbody></table>]]></description>
