CAL MARITIME MENTORING PROGRAM LAUNCHED
In response to inquiries from cadets regarding educational and career advice, the CMA Alumni Association has launched the Cal Maritime Mentoring program. Cal Maritime Mentoring is designed as a means of connecting cadets (students) to CMA alumni.

NEW RES HALL NAMED FOR DISTINGUISHED ALUMNUS CAPT. ROBERT MCALLISTER
   Cal Maritime’s new 132-bed residence hall will officially be named McAllister Hall in recognition of distinguished alumnus Robert McAllister (1942) and his late wife Edith.

KATHERINE BROOKSHIER NAMED CAL MARITIME’S HEARST SCHOLARSHIP WINNER
 

Katherine Brookshier of Benicia, CA, has been named as The California Maritime Academy 2009-10 recipient of the California State University system’s prized William Randolph Hearst/California State University (CSU) Trustees’ Award for Outstanding Achievement.

  The 2010 U.S. News survey again ranked Cal Maritime fifth among 17 ranked Baccalaureate schools in the western U.S. Cal Maritime was also chosen as one of the nation’s top 100 public colleges and universities for Forbes’ 2009 rankings of America’s Best Colleges - the only state maritime academy to make the list. E-waste Recycling at Cal Maritime
The students of Cal Maritime along with the Facilities staff are planning a recycle event for the campus and the greater community of Vallejo on Saturday, November 7th. from 8AM to 5PM.

On the 7th, the event will be staged at the property outside the gates for efficient unloading and palletizing of ewaste collection from the local community. Click here for a list of items that will be accepted.

Annual Puget Sound Alumni Dinner
The Puget Sound Annual Alumni Dinner will be held at Salty’s Seafood Grill on Alki, 1936 Harbor Avenue SW, in West Seattle (same great place as last year’s event).

The guest speaker for our dinner event will be Cal Maritime President Bill Eisenhardt. So, come out, join friends and fellow grads and hear the latest updates from our Academy.
