The Cal Maritime Fund

These are exciting times for Cal Maritime. Prospective students continue to apply to CMA in record numbers. This fall we welcomed 265 students to campus. The demand to attend CMA is only expected to increase.  In fact, we recently had a record attendance at our Annual Preview Day for prospective students -- with 20% more students attending this year's event over last year.

In order to keep up with the growth and expansion of Cal Maritime, a new residence hall just opened this fall.  The new building can accommodate on-campus living space for an additional 132 cadets.  Additionally, a new physical education and water survival training center is expected to be opening in fall 2011.  The new facilities will replace the present -- and sorely outdated -- center and pool, which were constructed in 1943.

Cal Maritime's success is due, in large part, to the generous financial support we receive from our alumni, parents, and friends of the Academy.  Each year, the Cal Maritime Fund provides support for our cadets -- from financial aid and athletic programs, to the annual training cruise and quality teaching.  Your gift to the Cal Maritime fund will have a direct effect on the life of every student and faculty member on campus.
